KO Basic Strategy with Casino Verite

Small question: In the KO book, the basic strategy says split 2's and 3's on dealer 4-7. 6's are split on 6 or less except dealer 2. Also it says never split 4's. I've noticed another post in this forum where KO's basically strategy was referred to, where 2's and 3's were split on dealer's 2-7, and 4's were split on dealer 5,6, while 6's were split on dealer 6 or less. These deviations are also present in my Casino Verite training game at home. Anyone know why these 3 plays would deviate from the original work in the KO book?
thanks in advance.

The reason is called DAS!

If you're playing with DAS (double after splitting allowed) you'll have these differences with NDAS:

split 2s and 3s against 2 and 3, split 4s against 5 and 6 and split 6s against 2.

Surely the KO book is giving you the BS for a NDAS game.

Hope this helps.
