hey buddy just read ur post , been playing, and counting for years . i am familiar with salamanca, ny, because it is closer to me, i live in pgh, i have been fairly successful in bj, i am only green chip player x 4 ,and never played with team so , hit me up let me know what your lookin for. i can travel to niagra, only on u.s side.

Good luck finding a team, but just be VERY careful when you enter casinos together and play (even if a few minutes apart).
some of the surveillence software used by the casinos is VERY good, and can make links between even "unrelated" players, even at different tables.
Play conservatively without huge spreads, and play in shoes even with a negative count (albeit tiny amounts). If you're detected, you'll be barred. and if the casinos think more than one person is involved, they may not be friendly.

That’s terrible advice! Depending on the type of team play he is using, a huge bet spread can often be used with very little heat. And playing negative counts is completely self-destructive. Even if you do manage to avoind going broke, it will take you years to approach the long run.

What's wrong with 4 or 5 guys all playing the same way in a defined game with a spread deemed acceptable to a combined bankroll? The spreads needn't be big or depend particularly on high counts.

Certainly not disagreeing, but, for the sake of discussion, and certainly it doesn't apply to the games they mentioned, but don't you think, at least under some circumstances, even a 1-8 spread (not sure what "small" means lol) might be profitable (profitable enough lol) if you can find the right shoe game with the right rules even with average penetration? Like I found this cheap 4.5/6 S17 DAS DOA game in Vegas with Late surrender. And it was easy to spread more. I don't think I had a high ROR or particularly huge N0 playing every hand and still had a reasonable EV despite playing all hands.
I'm just trying to say maybe one should never close one's mind to all the possibilities that may exist out there.
Don't forget about the law of large numbers. Several teammates pooling bankroll, counting, etc. decreases variance.
Agreed, but if you see my other posts you'll see why escaping detection as an advantage player is equally important (for me anyway) -and playing those occasional very small negative count hands will help to throw the pit team off the scent of a card counter.
If you're in a place like Vegas with hundreds of casinos, do what you like - you can afford to brass off a few casinos and still have plenty to play in. If like me you're stuck in a "one casino town" it's important to fit in as best possible, whilst looking for opportunities to increase your wallet size.

The #1, most important thing, is to get the money. And you do that by playing with a large edge. A distant second is your continuing ability to get the money by not getting caught. But I'd rather play a place a handfull of times, win money and get banned, then go for years without an edge large enough to be worth my time. Also, unless you're at a high betting limit, or you're playing handheld games, I wouldn't worry at all about any camo that affects EV. Wear gold chains, act like a donk,but spread 1-20 and never deviate from your indeces.
Davidpom - i don't agree with you on this and wouldn't play that style, but moo you are missing the conditions in the UK. If you get barred from one casino in the UK, you can essentially forget playing again. For example if you get barred from a Stanley casino, you are barred from somewhere around 60 casinos all in one go and that's if they don't share your details with other companies. There are only a few companies overhere, running all of the casinos, so certain lengths have to be take to insure longevity especially as you have to sign up as a member - producing government approved ID and having your photo taken - before you get anywhere near the gaming floor.
As important as getting the money is, i also enjoy playing - it something i look forward to and wouldn't want to give up.
