Let's revive the loose lips award. This proposal will make the loose lips guys think twice before they post game information, and it will minimize the risk in closing down good blackjack games in NJ, PA, DE, & CT. So far who's here responsible for the closing down the DE's good blackjack games? Whomever he is will get this award.

Candidates... Re: Triple down promotion

Candidates for the July's Loose Lips Award:

Damn Yankee and Zeppelin are nominated for outing the triple down promotion. The promo has EV of 1.5+ % or $200+/hour.

Do you think MS doesn't know they offered this promotion?

OTOH, I was in a local casino recently and saw them replacing the felt on a relatively new game. I asked them how the felt could wear out so quickly and they said that wasn't the problem - one of the payouts was wrong and was +EV. THAT is the kind of thing that shouldn't be posted.

Obviously the casino knows, they offered it. People talking about the promotion will bring others to it and therefore burn it out faster.

The casinos create promotions to bring people in. That's what they want.

They don't want the people who are going to come in and play perfect bs while betting big. We are not the people casinos want inside their doors.

Yes I agree that the casinos create promotions to bring people in.

But when WE see these games and want to play the promotion as long as we can, spreading the news to every AP we know is going to END IT faster.

Dye - I see your point, however, this is a +EV bet with BS. There's been a similar discussion taking place on Green Chip and the prevailing opinion is to play straight BS and not count, as you don't want to risk being backed off with a +1.5% edge promo. It even makes sense to play a CSM (if they have them) to increase speed of play!

Loose lips killed promos faster than counting... 1 Mississippi ... 2 Mississippis ... 3 Mississippis...:laugh::laugh: Do you recall the case of $5,000 match coupons (an EV of $20,000)? APs could hardly lose when betting coupons on Black and Red on the wheel until you know what... Yes, guys with loose lips bragged about the promos, and the rest was history :laugh::laugh:.

When I saw Tico put this thread up initially, I thought it was a message of: "shut the heck up!!!" to those of us who know about the MS promo...

Anybody know how much we are allowed to rescue in Sp after a bad TrD during this promo? Also, does this promo only apply to our first two cards in Sp? And finally, which hands are we TrD on that we normally only hit in Sp?
