Lucky Ladies

I was looking at the past lucky ladies threads and that bet gets some serious advantage with a TC of +6 or greater. Just wondering why people don't make special trips just for this side bet, or do they? Is it just not worth the time for a max of a $25 bet?

Just curious, going to seattle on the 22nd and planning on playing this hard. Wonging though.

How massive of a giveaway is it if you wong in at ~+8 and then offer to play everyones sidebet with $25? o.o

Yes, too much of a giveaway. Overall the LLs is a fun bet and it will add extra EV to your game...
but its just an enhancement and it carries an increased variance downside, so do not get carried away.
But also do not be shy about placing those $25 bets when its party time. zg

It's not so bad. It will take them a while to catch you since you'll only play about 1 hand per hour.

Shwam, where is the part-two LL question you PM'd about? Its a simple bet,
except to keep an eye on for shortage of Qh and adjust accordingly. zg

Why go by TC. Wouldn't a side count of faces be more useful? I saw a guy in one shoe win 6 different times including 2 Q's and wondered if that's what the was doing. There were a few other LL wins at the table, but not like this guy,

How much extra value does lucky ladies add beyond your 1% from counting?
It depends on the pen and the max bet. You really need deep pen to get any value out of the side bet and most casinos cap the bet at a $25 max. There are a few casinos however which do allow a $100 max bet on the game. Another problem is many casinos won't let you bet on other players spots and some casinos cap the max payout at $5000 which in my opinion shouldn't be allowed by any gaming commission.

Is the advantage from LL based on getting the 1000:1 and 125:1 payouts? If I play LL at TC +7 but I don't ever get QQh, am I still getting an advantage?
Yes and NO.
If you always place big bets when the count is high but you never win
any big bets, does card counting still give you an advantage at BJ? zg

i read blackjackincolor.com and that's why i raised the question. According to the site:

What we quickly see is that the green area represents a very large part of the winnings. Green is the winnings for a player Queen Heart Pair with a dealer BJ. The problem is that this is almost as rare as a 1 in 100,000 chance. Our actual results will vary enormously depending on whether we receive 0, 1 or 2 of these hands after playing a huge number of hands. What this means is that although we have a theoretical edge, our results are really going to be based more on luck. It just takes too many hands to reach the long-run with high payouts like this.

Zengrifter, I guess what I'm asking is whether I'll be making money if i get other payouts but never get QQh. Cuz if i never win any big bets during high counts i'll surely be losing money...

The simple answer is no - if you never get QQh, you will never make money on Lucky Ladies. Play enough hands (500,000?) and you will definitely get one, though.

One night at SlotsFun, after getting TWO (bet) in the course of 3-sessions,
on a 4th session I got it FOUR TIMES in one hour, never making the bet! zg

I've got it once before, but the dealer didn't have the blackjack. I wasn't playing it, and everyone on the table got on me after that.

It's 1 out of 3083 hands for a 8D shoe. The QQh plus dealer natural is around 1 out of 65000.
