Hit soft 17 (H17), double after split (DAS), double any (DA2), resplit all (RS), late surrender (LS). These, along with 6D, is the most common in Vegas. The last time I passed through Luxor, though, they had many more 8D games than 6D and poor penetration (60-70%).

Better games in the area

Luxor has some S-17 shoes in their high limit area.
For S-17 shoes in the area for lower minimums try Mandalay Bay, MGM and Trop.

TROP had a good game last time i was there (late june) S17.
pen varried, shop around. i had lots of matchplays so i HAD to play.


H17/S17 that is a question i don't ask much, i'm typically hunting for LS + PEN.

I haven't seen a S17 shoe game at Mandalay Bay for a long time. Am I just not looking at the right times? Or are you counting $50+ games as "lower minimums"?

Luxor as S17 for DD, but the penetration makes it a waste of time. Mandalay Bay is less than a 10 minute inside walk from Luxor and has much more playable games.
