Looks like I'm going to LV soon. My mission on this trip is to try to get as many places to start sending me good mailed offers. Any suggestions? Which places still mails out good offers to high-roller tourists? (or low rollers, too, I can swing both ways)

Low rollin'

Orleans will mail you 2 free nights after an hour or 2 of play at the low roller level. Harrah's (et al) will email you free rooms (think IP) if you enter your email on your Total Rewards card.

I wish I could help, but all the offers I receive are based on previous play at the particular casino, or sister property. Obtaining a player's card seems to be the one commonality in all the places that send me offers.

I receive offers from the Caesar's and MGM Resorts properties, some of which I have never played in, The M Resort, The Orleans, the various Station casinos, the Gold Coast, Binion's, Four Queens, El Cortez, Treasure Island, The Venetian, The Palazzo, Circus Circus, the Riviera, the Hilton, planet hollywood (now a Caesar's property), Hard Rock, Palms, Arizona Charlie's, and the Nugget in Pahrump. The best room offers have been from Caesar's properties. The MGM prop offers are usually reduced rates. The Venetian offers free comp rooms, and is a very nice place to stay. I no longer take advantage of a lot of these offers, so I have not been paying that much attention. Station casinos and Caesar's props have good buffet offers. You can also check out Anthony Curtis' website for Vegas deals.

I'm not sure how to do this without an unaceptably high ROR on my current BR. But I'll keep it in mind for the future.
You use comp-counting: 4-5 $400 bets plus 35-40 $50 bets = $4000 total action. zg

What is the $200 free slot play offer?

Any other free slot play in LV?
The trop's $200 free slot offer isn't really free slot money, it is more of a rebate. If you lose up to $200, you can get half rebated immediately and the other half the following month. Cosmo has a simliar offer where they rebate the entire loss of at least $100 immediately. (this offer was extended til july 31) and the Westin (100 yards off the strip) has a $50 immediate rebate offer. My startegy on these offers was to play a $1 type machinge (VP) hoping for a big score which would make you a winner. In the event that you hit the rebate target, I would then collect the rebate, which is in the form of free play and play through once trying to recoup as much of the original wager as possible.

There are many other places on on the strip that offer 'true' free slot play when signing up for the players card. In most cases it is $5 or $10. Ellis Island, Treasure Island, Riveira are a couple that come to mind.

As long as they notice and record those FEW large bets.
so... I find this to be a bit of a gamble.

Sometimes, they ignore the large bets, and I get nothing for comps.

Other time, large bets causes an invitation to leave.

American Casino Guide has quite a few free slot play offers in it- El Cotez, Four Queens, Venetian,Golden Nugget, ect, ct, and a good number of match plays. If you will have a car, it is a great addition to your bankroll.

And don't forget the wincard promotions where you buy discounted promotional chips that play as real chips (play until you lose them)

Circus Circus $45 for $30, Mandalay bay $30 for $20, Luxor $30 for $20, Excal and Four Queens $15 for $10 to name a few. Some of the outlying casinos like cannery's have them as well. Not much but can be a bonus for smaller BR's.

Requires a card, of course, right?

How many times can one use the trop's FSP. prob just once with the first card sign up, right?
