Ameristar is garbage and dangerous. Majestic star is like 8d H17, I believe, with a bad pitch game. Be really careful in that whole neighborhood, though.

Ok, in all seriousness, are these places that unsafe...I mean, I'm a big guy over 6 feet and just under 250lbs but that doesn't mean anything against a gun or knife....should I skip ...is it that dangerous

It's Gary, Indiana. I mean, it's dangerous. If you're white, it's possible you'll be the only white person there....

OR just go to the horseshoe down the street. It's a lot safer. And you can go to the steakhouse with your total rewards points at a 1:1 ratio, if you've got any stored up. Binion's is one of the best steakhouses I've ever eaten at.

Thanks...what do you mean by being able to use rewards points at e steak house with a 1:1 ratio?

I have about 3000 reward credit balance and 2000 in tier score...that's doesn't equate to $3000 for the steak house right

Lowrider, you should log onto the TR site. There you can put in your rewards credits into their calculator and it should tell you what you can get for those points. :)

Ok, I found the calculator, it's about 100 points per $1 that's what I thought...kinda shitty...thanks for the direction

Majestic is scary, especially the long walkway from the Hotel to the Casino, but Ameristar is equally bad or worse. Certainly the casino is worse.

The Horseshoe is probably the nicest casino east of LV, and I mean that.

What is worse...downtown las vegas at 2am or Majestic or Ameristar?

At Majestic, starting at dusk there is always a Gary police car parked in the parking lot by the motel. There are shuttles from the casino to motel.
Ameristar, not to bad to the garage area. I park back where the buses load.
Horseshoe, totally useless to me.
Make sure your car is in good working order. Don't come into town on an empty tank and try to fill up, btdt once, never again.
