If I have $50 in $5 one at a time match play how should I play them out. Any different strategy for a six deck shoe.

No, just be sure to use correct basic strategy - if you haven't memorized use a strategy card or crib note.
Each coupon is worth about 50% of face value, so your gain for each $5 bet with coupon is just under $2.50. zg

Few casinos will allow you to play them all in the same day.You may have to play different tables and on different shifts to use ten in one day.

I need to no what the fine print is...

Does it say that you can only use them on "1 to 1" bets?
Is there a stipulation that says you can bet them on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd dozen numbers in roulette?
Does it say you bet them on almost anything?

This is important only if you are interested in getting the most "value" out of them. In any case, if that is your goal, blackjack is probably the last thing you should use them on.

This is crucial. How you play your coupons will depend on whether you lose the coupon when you win/lose/push and whether you can use it for 1:1 bets only or match any bet.

Keep in mind that the best 1:1 bet is craps, not blackjack. You only win 43% of the time in blackjack and lose 49% of the time; your small edge comes from the fact that you can double and split winning hands and surrender losing hands. At craps (pass line), you win 49% of the time and lose 51% of the time. So if you can use the match play to double a good hand, that's ideal; otherwise, go with craps (pass or don't pass).

I believe that, if allowed, match playing a single number bet at roulette is the best bet possible, because you essentially get paid 70:1 if you win.

there ya go. i thought there was something like that going on. i was looking for this article by i think it was James Grosjean about all that but couldn't find it.

But (1) we don't know if these $5 MPs are restricted to 1:1 bets and (2) we don't know if JackRoss is willing to lay down more than 20 or $30 of odds, ten times. If he's not willing to lay down full odds ($50) every time, he should probably bet Caribbean Stud blindly. (i.e.: $5 MP plus a red chip in the ante and $20 in the "bet.") Mr. Grosjean doesn't even mention this trick for 1:1 MPs and it may even be a better "loss rebate value" than craps.

And...

EVERYONE SHOULD PRINT OUT THAT LINK TO "BEYOND COUPONS." I own Beyond Counting now that I'm $300 poorer. He doesn't even discuss those coupon theories in the book so think of it as $1.50 per page that you are getting for free. I printed it out like a year ago and still refer to it.

99% of the time matchplays are restricted to even money bets only if you get a blackjack you only get even money for your matchplay. If that is the case the pass line bet in craps is one of my favorite bets to make because I can also take the odds bet and look more like a gambler! The don't pass bet is a decent bet too. Taking the odds bet does not matter there is no expected value in taking the odds you are just dead even with the house and are increasing your variance. There is expected value in playing the passline or dont pass bets with the matchplay coupons otherwise the house has the edge.

In my several match plays, I never had a blackjack.. well, until today. I didn't know they would pay 3:2 on my money, and 1:1 on the match play coupon. Dealer said it's valid for even money bets only, and although it made sense when I checked the coupon myself, I wanted the pit to be involved, but unfortunately no go. So, I got paid $12.50 on a win with my $5 bet with a $5 match play coupon.

In this case, blackjack might not be the best place to use the match play coupon, since 3:2 payout on BJ is a big driver for low house edge. Maybe craps pass line with 1.14% house edge would be a better choice for any match play, what do you all think?
