[EDIT: This thread refers to matt21's Final Conclusions on Card Counting thread]
Matt is right. I went through the card counting deal way back when and found like matt that it was not for me. Some times I thought the meat would literately fall from my bones before I would get a good count. Just not worth it. I know a lot of you folks have seen the movie about the MIT bunch. Personally I think those were the luckiest people on the face of the planet. That is if they did win all that money which I really have my doubts about. We see articles on line all the time about what a casino will do to you if they catch you counting cards and lord help you if you are caught with some kind of counting device. I personally think that most of these articles are written by casino personnel and that they in fact really love card counters or people who think they can count cards and throw away strategy. You do that and you are doomed from the start. I remember my first card counting experience. I had practiced for over a year and yes I was down right good at it. Also I knew the strategy backwards and forwards. I belled up to that table and when the first cards hit I did not know weather to scratch my watch or wind my rear end. Personally I would stick to knowing how to play Blackjack perfect. Those big old super computers don't lie. Cut the house edge as low as you can and hope for the best. Also I am a firm believer in the odds and that nothing will just keep repeating it's self over and over. If you think it will take out a quarter and start to flip it. Then when it hits heads or tails ten times in a row please send me an email. I have been flipping a quarter for a year now off and on and not once have I ever hit ten heads or tails in a row. Just a thought.
