Our team has ramps that go all the way to a 3% advantage betting the same amount at each 0.5% worth of advantage regardless of penetration or rules. Of course on a relatively bad game we almost never get to our ultimate possible top bet and as a consequence we have to use a lower bottom bet or more aggressive table exits to maintain a big enough spread.

Most casual players will make their max bet and figure an optimum ramp and betting unit based on a top bet at high-low TC +4 or +5. Your betting unit should not be the same as your low bet which should always be the least amount of money you can get away with putting out. For example on a typical shoe game you might bet the true minus 1 in black on each of two hands but when you don't have an edge you might only bet 1@$25.
