Message board to live casino etiquette

Message boards by nature, are supposed to be anonymous. Sometimes people choose to meet someone from the message board in person, as I have done on a couple of occasions. Some of you choose to attend group functions. Something I don't do. These are pre-arranged meetings that the parties involved agree to. I can not imagine under any circumsatances how anyone from the message board could walk up to someone in a casino and ask "are you so and so" and think that is acceptable and/or think that you would get an affirmative answer. :( I personally would never ever consider such a violation of the persons privacy and what we are all about, no matter how sure I was. Now, if I had decided to completely violate this etiquette and good common sense, I think I would attempt to identify myself first, although the chances are still great that the person would not reply in the affirmative, if in fact I was not mistaken to begin with.

Of course I am speaking hypothetically. Just something that has been weighing on my mind for about 4 days now.

Alright buddy, it was me. I was the guy in the clown suit at the MGM Grand on Halloween that asked you if you were counting. Can we please drop this now?

I didn't say anyone said anything about counting. Why do you have to be such smart ass?

ALRIGHT! You got me. I was the hole-carding clown at MGM on Halloween. Can we please drop this? It's really not productive for anyone involved.
