Just watched the very clear video of the Detroit PD, sucker punch with a great combination and drop the drunk patron at MGM Detroit.

"Officer" Art Dudal,as is clear from the video acted in a very unprofessional manner, is a bully, a danger to society, trigger happy, and not only should he be fired but he and Detroit and MGM sued for millions for this shocking beating, that did not stop even when he, the patron, went down cold, he continued to hit this patron in the ribs and broke them. Dudal, you are a F### who must be a Tank Abbot, UFC wanna be, your big gut and all. (I know Tank and he is a great guy in person and no longer has a gut, but I am referring here to his on air personality of the bad Azz).

The patron was clearly drunk, being served drunk by MGM, was running his mouth some, as most drunks do, accused of touching a waitress in her boobs or azz, as he may have, and refused to leave the bar when told to by MGM security, but when the Detroit police arrived he did leave, appeared he turned around at one point and looked at Dudal to say some shi# when bad azz Dudal gave him the big left and right and down he went. So very unprofessional of Dudal and an outright case of aggravated assault.

Police are not above the law, even though they think they are!

Hmmm, I rather doubt it as he will be charged with aggravated assault and the subjuct of a very large law suite.

No casino will want to touch this guy and have a repeat and face an even bigger law suite,,,no I rather think he will be doing oil changes in Detroit, after all is said and done.:laugh:

Don't get drunk in public and act like an ass. And when a police officer gives you a lawful order-do what you are told. If the drunk had walked out of the bar he most likley would have been put in a cab. When he turned on the officer it did not justify two punches but you don't turn on a law officer in an aggressive manner and that's what he did. 400 police officers are killed in the US every year from unpredictble acts from seemingly innocuous persons.

Oh yes, and I love the fact that a money grubbing defense attorney is describing the action. Yes- there is no conflict of interest there.

And please CP explain your reference to the officer as being "trigger happy." I don't see him moving for his weapon anytime during this video, so how do you know this.

I am not a police apologist, and police should be held to a higher standard, but they have a difficult underappreciated job made more difficult by the defense of idiots who should act appropriately in public.

Here's a newsflash for you MoN. We don't live in a country with martial law. 400 officers dead? wow, gee, oh my, that's......very little. that little stat should prove to you how "bad" the US is. does 400 KIA/yr justify the need for a brutal police force?

I agree the job is difficult at times, but really, what does a cop do MOST of the time? eat donuts, give out speeding tickets, talk to his cop buddies about how lame they are. When they get a chance at any kind of small action, they become "trigger happy." btw, cp wasn't being literal. trigger happy in this case was the clear use of excessive force. Not to mention that both cops entered extremely false reports with bogus felony charges brought onto the victim/suspect. Which btw, were dropped immediately following the viewing of the tape by prosecutors.

Back when I started working in bars as a bouncer, I was given this advice by a cop friend of mine- Anytime you have to put your hands on someone, spit in your hand and put it in your hair. Spitting on a person is assault, and the person being spit on has a right to defend themselves.
That drunk guy got pretty close to the cops face and the video would not pick up if the guy spit in the cops face, intentional or just let go some spittle when he turned to talk. Even if the cop only felt that the guy was about to spit on him, he may have been within his rights.
I've never been to Detroit, but I seriously doubt police officers there do little but sit around eating doughnuts and writing speeding tickets.

I personally don't fear the police and don't criticize them because I don't expect them to have to monitor my behavior.

No I am not a police apologist. I try to see the bigger picture. There are good cops and bad cops like any other profession. I thank you tho for taking the time to research and correct my statement on police fatalities.

Yes, I do know a fair amount about the law and police in general.

You, Master, have just become an apologist for blatant police brutality, as well as aggravated assault.

On the other hand I am not an apologist, I would find the disturbed "officer" guilty of a crime and give him the maximum penalty and then put him in the general jail population:grin:

Of course, not to mention the enormous law suite he has just brought down upon himself and the city of Detroit. He is also a disgrace to those fine Officer's of the DPD trying to do a professional job.

True, the victim was drunk, like many are in casinos, and he can say whatever he desires, and has no beating coming from just words. The victim surely was no threat to the police that had him out numbered and he surely was not throwing any punch.

Remember that MGM was serving a drunk, so they are also responsible, and will take a big hit from the law suite, which is highly justified and needed to deter further police brutality, which could victimize one of us AP's next time.

The attorney representing the man who was assaulted is a hero for taking the case, and thus facing the wrath of the crooked element of the DPD, which while not the majority, is a sizable minority.

So I insulted him back and told him to **** off. one thing led to another and he charged me with a DUI, and when I told him to **** off again, he forged my signature on the ticket. Guess what. there were too many holes in his story, and when I wanted to go to trial with this case, the cop suddenly gets into an "accident" the night before the court date. does the cop have to prove that he was in accident to skip the court date? No. did I already spend $10k on a lawyer, and if I wanted to sue the cop, it would take 2-3 years and about $50k extra in lawyer fees? yes. So did the cop essentially get away with it? YES!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had a K9 unit called on me for having $4000 cash on me, not to mention the 2 hours wasted. I've been the victim of a pick pocketing incident and had the cop get in my face and threaten to jail me because I was upset about being pick pocketed. So do I have bias against these meatheads with badges? YES!! and don't tell me there are only a few bad cops amongst the mostly good cops. how many cases of corruption have there been nationwide? how many famous caught on tape incidences have there been? Rodney king, oscar grant, Tyrone brown. here, I'll leave you with only a few videos, as there are way too many caught on camera instances.

More MGM beatings

In the Detroit News this morning is a report of 2 more beatings of patrons in MGM that are bringing law suites against the DPD and MGM. It seems that the DPD has officers always on duty in the casino, they are part of a gaming unit, so they may think the way to land a cushy job with MGM is to impress MGM security by beating their patrons! No SHI#!!:grin:

I think it was Craps Master who said something along the lines of "try winning more money faster and see what happens" I believe it was in response to someone saying a casino didn't care about winners. It also applies to security goons. Beat a little dumpy run down casino hard enough to put a real hurt on them and see how thuggish their guards might get. JB: Instead of responding I would ask you to indulge me in the following scenario which unfortunately occurs.

Police are called on an alleged drunk driver driving the wrong way on an interstate at speeds in excess of 100 mph. You are the offficer closest to the interstate. Area departments advise it will be at least 10 min until they can shut off access ramps to the interstate.

Do you chase? Not chase?

You chase and the drunk (alleged) plows into a 70 year old couple leaving their 50 year college reunion and kills them both.

You don't chase and the drunk (alleged) plows into the couple killing them.

In both cases the estate of the family sue the municipality and the state. In the first case for chasing the drunk in the second case for not intervening to protect and ensure the public safety.

For your response i will give you all the time you need to respond instead of the few seconds the officer has.

If that makes me a police apologist so be it. I am glad I don't have to live wioth making a decision like that and having to live with the consequences if I screw up.

Yes there are bad police and yes they should be weeded out out the profession.
