My view of midshoe rules

If you are spreading to 100 bucks playing 5 in low or neg counts is not going to hurt you that much.

It is almost like wonging if you go from 5 to 100 or more in my opinion.

I would guess mid shoe rules were to prevent the wonger from picking cherries during high counts.

If you get up and leave for the bar or restroom after 5 10 rounds once a 6 deck shoe really goes bad that in effect is almost like a reverse wonging is it not?

Exactly. Your minimum bet is so insignificant compared to your max bet it is almost like Wonging.

Right. Schlesinger calls this the “White Rabbit” style of Wonging. It is a great way to get around the No Mid-Shoe Entry rule or to get some action in a very crowded casino.

And if there are no seats you have your spot saved and nobody can take it.

I wonder if they might include in the bj21.com conditions publication a column for how long you can leave your seat and still keep your spot.

I think it's highly unlikely this type of information would ever get published, primarily because it's not readily observable to a reporter who just walks through a casino. I expect most casinos will hold your spot for about 30 minutes - perhaps longer if you leave some chips at the table.
