Need some advice .. and possibly a group hug

so.. as many of you know, I'm female.. and NOT a card counter.. (honestly, it's beyond my abilities due to a learning disorder)... (if you have ever played with me, you would soon realize.. adding the numbers of the cards showing (Ace + 5 + 8 +7).. can take me up to 2 minutes to realize i have a winning hand)...

with that in mind.. I got backed off this trip to vegas. You may need to go to Rome... . Last trip, I walked with 6k only to donate it later to a different facility.

This trip.. I walked with a little more than 1.5k .. not alot

I was talked to that good players like myself who consistently beat their casino aren't usually welcomed back, or made additional offers..

REALLY.. really.. I'm sure their light bill is more than what I've won... granted I do seem to win consistently on the strip casinos <apparently against the odds>... but heck, I've also probably donated a chandelier.. as I learned how to play. So basically I paid for an education in bj .. and now I can't use what I've learned.. and again.....
I'M NOT A CC

.. what comes after "the talk"?

one of the things said was as long as I did this for "entertainment purposes" then that would be tolerated .. what the hell does that mean?
they didn't say I was banned.. but again.. consistently winning..

and can they really ban a non CC from playing?

....there was more.. but call me or little r me.. and let's chat...

Other news..
I entered the Golden Nuggets Slots/Blackjack tournament.. knowing if I made the finals... I would need to change my plane to catch a later flight..
.. I did make the BJ round.. and when I tried to change my flight - I couldn't due to the storms.. I randomly picked someone to be my substitute.. and guess who it was..

last's years' winner who didn't make it in final round ;)

Sounds like you have just been unlucky (regarding barrings). A theory- Possibly because you have taken so long to make playing decisions- a PB may have assumed you are counting cards?

Its amazing what they look for. I was out with my partner a few years ago (she counts), but we were both pretty sloppy at the beginning. She would follow the cards while they were dealt individually to keep the count. At one point she hesitated on a index play and the dealer said "Lost the count have you?".

We left shortly afterwards.

ok.. I don't think I was barred or banned

I was just told this was "for entertainment purposes" as long as I played

it was imho.. and I'm socially a moron.. an adultly veiled promise if I got too happy or came too often things might change..

but you know .. I can lose 3-8K and no one blinks an eye

All I can recommend is that you stay away from blackjack or any other game if you can't play it with an advantage. Sounds harsh, I know, but gambling is hell and I never tell anyone to put themselves there.

There may have been something you did that suggested to them you were playing with an advantage, they may have mistaken you for someone else, or they may have believed your long hesitation when playing meant you were using a device or clumsily receiving signals from someone else in the casino. Either way, it is not worth it to you to face any degree of risk of abuse from the casino to continue playing a -EV game. If you can't count, there are other ways you can make money in a casino, such as holecarding and promotion abuse.

maybe it was something I did...

I do tend to stay and play longer than the average joe..

decisions.. well.. outside of playing longer than I should.. i pretty much use basic strategy.. and even on occassion pull out the chart

I have a return trip planned for Oct.. cuz' I'm using my casino cash.. and meeting my friends.. guess I'll play slots for a while

and I just looked at my 4 year win/loss statement.. I've had a couple of great years. one horrificly bad year.. and one year I won 8 $

I guess they aren't use to people coming back and getting their money back?

So you`ve had 3 winning years( albeit 8 dollars profit on 1 of them- better than a kick in the ass though) and 1 bad losing year. Did your bad losing year eclipse the winnings from the others?

Sounds like you have been experiencing a nice constant flow of positive variance. Why not learn a basic counting technique now and hold on to your winnings?

Try and keep your sessions shorter- The more the pit sees you winning( by counting, using basic strategy, pure blind luck or having a pet monkey that can see the future(cardwise) ) will not further your longevity.

Are you talking to me, yesiamred? Well, if so, I think you wouldn't be too interested in my meager, low roller bankroll. And what a good thing for you that you "know what you're doing"...confidence can't hurt, I suppose. Unless you make it clear otherwise, one would imagine the posters on this site kind of have a clue. Have a good one.
