If a new game at a casino was started which gave players a fixed 18, would players walk away winners after playing several hours?

If you wanted to play at a regular BJ table and be given an 18 every hand, almost any casino would happily set aside a table just for you.

this game would ahve a negative expectation because the average winning hand for the player is higher than 18.

Sure a player could walk away a winner after playing several hours. Several hours is very short term and in the short run almost anything can and does happen.

I am sure your point is that 18 is a long term losing hand, which most of us are well aware of. I forget what the average winning hand is. 18.6? or 18.3? Definately 18.something. lol I'm sure someone will have the exact number.
