New progression

I lost 28 bets in a row.

I have posted several times in the past year and a half mostly about Oscars's Grind. I have kept track of 250,000 hands. I make several notes after each shoe including # of lost bets in a row. I play perfect basic strategy for the correct game. HA of -.36% .
28 bets in a row is the most I have lost. This figure ignores pushes and counts doubles and splits.
Not many Progressions would survive this !
I did not believe years ago that I could lose 28 bets in a row in a game where my disadvantage was only -.36%.
I have the results laminated on a small card I carry in my wallet. While I am at the casino (and I go several times a week); whenever I am sitting through a losing streak at a neutral or positive count it reminds me that these streaks can and do happen. It helps me not to make excuses and doubt the math of the game.

Oh does it ever happen. The first and only time I ever played baccarat, I lost 20 straight times. It was at the Taj Mahal in AC about four years ago. I'll never forget it.

Which system has been making money for you? Why are you still searching for another progression system, to increase the winrate?

To my knowledge, no progression can improve your win rate, but not all progressions are made equal. Intellectually it's fun to come up with a new progression, but most of the time new progressions are just modified known progressions. I try to take a «new» approach: instead of claiming and promoting a winning progression my approach is more in the field of risk management. I'm still searching for the philosopher’s stone, but I enjoy searching. I have a life time profit playing BJ, call it luck, but I enjoy the game! Good luck to you!

LBL = Last bet lost (excluding doubles...)
TLSLWB = TOTAL LOSS SINCE LAST WINNING BET


Once you win any hand following this, go back to your initial betting unit.

I’ll give an example: 10$ min bet, 1$ minimum increment, max bet 500$

Flat bet until you lose; next bet is last bet lost = 10$ + (total loss since last winning bet = 10$) x .0048 typical Vegas house edge = 10.048 (round off to the highest dollar) = 11$

10$ lose, 11$ lose; next bet will be last bet lost (11$) + (total loss since last winning bet 21$, i.e. 10$ + 11$) x .0048 typical Vegas house edge = 11.1008 (round off to the highest dollar) = 12$ etc, etc

If you lose many hands, the progression would look like this:

10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-20-21-22-23-24-25-26-28-30 etc
If you lose a double, just skip one level (triple = two levels etc)

Once you win any hand, go back to flat betting!

So if you lose 19 in a row, you are $365 down?

In the example given, if you win, then you go back to flat-betting $30...or $10?
