New to counting

#1
I have been practicing the KO count and I like the fact
there is no true count conversion needed. Any comments about this strategy or advice regarding card counting in general would be appreciated. I mostly play six deck S17. I'm not quite ready for the casino yet and I was thinking about trying the ace-five count or the ace ten front count.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

is this a dupe post? i thought i saw another thread you started with the same text?

here is my advice. You have already been practicing the KO count, which is a good count. The A/5 and the A/10 counts are a bit simpler but not as strong of a count, so it totally depends on how much blackjack homework you wanna do and how much practice you want to put in.

I chose Hi-Lo because it was in the first Book i ever read on BJ (beat the dealer) and i figured that if the MIT blackjack team used Hi-Lo + indices, then It was good enough for me too. There are many other threads on this site that go into deeper discussion about the effectiveness of one counting system vs. another, but the more i read about higher-level sophisticated counts, the more i figured that all i needed was a basic "strength indicator" of the remaining shoe and Hi-Lo was easy enough to practice.

Some advice though; Definitely go through archived threads before posting a new thread on something already covered deeply, its worth the time and some of the material on this site is very good! Also will save you the time of creating a new post!
