Nuance Question Regarding Play & Stay

Greetings all,

I've got a question pertaining to the nuances of playing where you're staying:

Let's say you're staying at a major strip property that has numerous sister properties in Las Vegas, for example.

And let's say at the property you're staying at, you're putting up some heavy $1 slot cover. Then let's say you're playing BJ at one of the sister properties--where you're backed off for counting.

Would they still come track you down in the middle of the night where you're staying, ransack your room, and kick you out? (In summary I wouldn't "technically" being playing BJ where I was staying--just playing BJ at their sister properties...thus the question.)

Best regards,

FD

Have you been backed off yet anywhere? Are you playing for mind-blowing stakes? Are you breaking the law?

I've been backed off by "a major strip property" and it was all very civil.

I would, however, expect it to put a damper on your future comps.

None of the above plus a clean wrap sheet to boot (hoping to keep it so).

Okay then, your main consequence would be burning yourself out at the entire family, not having them ransack your room.

If you plan on returning to this particular property over and over again, then treating them with special kit gloves or cover might be useful, but that would be mainly to get better comps, not avoid detection.

Too much counting, too obviously, at any one property is going to get you caught, doesn't matter if it's "home" or not.

If you aren't using a players card, they won't connect you to a room at another hotel.
I also am not aware of harrahs ever going bug**** on a first time backoff.

Years ago, not counting but hole carding, at Harrah's got me tossed from my room in the middle of a night. I blame myself for playing a highly profitable game for too long but without going through the details (if you check my old posts it is there somewhere) I will never forgive them for how it was handled.
