Poker is harder than CC,for me that is.
Yes he does,he told me that he's semi-retired for BJ, and grinding away at poker:grin:Calli I you play don't you? I saw a couple of your posts on 2p2 the other day.
I post there also,with a different name

Table and seat seletion is key.Online poker is nothing like what it used to be. Still beatable, but you need tracking software, rakeback, and you have to table hop.
But live poker is soooo boring.Thunder said:I agree. Live poker is far easier.
Oh yeah software isa must. What do you guys usually play? Ring or tournies? Right now I am grinding away at 25nl on ftp clearing the 600 deposit bonus.moo321 said:Online poker is nothing like what it used to be. Still beatable, but you need tracking software, rakeback, and you have to table hop.
I'm playing at PS micro stake Limit Hold'em,trying to get the basics down, then move on to the more lucrative games.1357111317 said:Oh yeah software isa must. What do you guys usually play? Ring or tournies? Right now I am grinding away at 25nl on ftp clearing the 600 deposit bonus.
The people in live poker games SUCK! I have never seen such blatant disregard for money as in some of these games. I bet there are 1-3 NL games where you could grind $30-50 an hour out if you were good.PrinceDragon said:Table and seat seletion is key.

Limit is a dying game online. Play No-Limit.PrinceDragon said:Good to know that, cuz i never play live.
Online poker is tough,i think mainly because the tools people use online.
I heard that the most fish are playing NL,but how about Limit hold'em,I'll appreciate it if you can shed some light on this.TIA

I got out of online poker a few years ago, because I don't think it's ethical to run software on people and use the information to beat them. To me, it's no different than using a blackjack computer. The software has killed the games more than anything.PrinceDragon said:Good to know that, cuz i never play live.

Thanks for the advice. Before the software hit, I could make 5 big blinds per hundred at limit, but it's all gone to hell now. If you're going to play, play no-limit cash games, tournies, or other games. That's where the donks are now.

I play solely online as my only source of income. Granted I just graduated college and have no one to support, makes these cheaper and easier for me.
I use to play 45 - 90 man sngs, but as of recently have moved over to cash games and in particular Heads Up Play.[/QUOTE]
Good idea. tons of fish in the 45 and 90 sngs and we dont even need to get started with how fishy Heads Up No limit is. If your looking for some good entertainment and making easy money HU is definitely the way to go.
Marty, what limits do you play for the 45 and 90 sngs? and HU cash?
