Are there any reasons to be concerned about downloading the widget for a casino in order to be informed about their various offers if there are no cautionary alarms from McAfee? I'm not aware of what sort of access to one's computer this would allow, but assume McAfee would at least raise a question if it provided listings of installed programs or search history. Said casino is generally tolerant of counters who don't get greedy.

Why would you need a widget to be informed of offers? If this is a small casino or if the widget is recently released there is a good chance AV software hasn't investigated it yet. Up to you if the risk is worth it, but considering that you get almost nothing from using it, I would advise you to not install it.
It's certainly possible that the widget would gather information from your PC. It's unlikely it will gather sensitive data, though, but the potential is there. If you're that concerned just install the widget on another PC with no sensitive information, or ask the casino for other ways to get offers.
