Only using indices

After reading a post on here earlier today about getting comps I am wondering what the power of just using indices is when playing. Spreading very, very small, say 1-2, but using full indices.

I know the power would differ depending on the game but would this make a good SD or DD game breakeven?

How many decks?
Regardless, if going for comps you MUST familiarize yourself with comp-counting ala Max Rubin / Comp City. zg

I read using every index without spread, the player has -0.02% disadvantage. So my guess if the player spread one to two, the advantage might be less than 0.05% which could be easily wiped out by any little mistake.

And using that approach negates the value of indices somewhat. zg

You can easily beat most 1 deck games with a 1-2 spread and lots of indices. DD could yield a small edge, but it depends.

Just ran a Sim on CVCX for a DD game, H17, RSA, 70% pen.

Spread just 1-2 ($50-$100)

$16/hour win
Std. Dev $734/hr
Huge ROR

I thought maybe this would be a good comp strategy at Harrahs to just play $50-$100 for hours and hours and run up comps, especially on point multiplier days.

However the ROR is gross so maybe not.

Conventional COMP-counting tactics would greatly exceed
a 1-2 spread profit. And with no correlation to count. zg

NO numbers crunched, but ...

Certain counts, such as Hi-Opt II have very high "Playing Efficiency" while others, such as "Hi Lo" have very low "Playing Efficiency"

There is a huge gaping chasm between what one gains with a full raft of indices in a pitch game between these counts.

If one memorizes practically all indices and side-counts Aces and Sevens and uses a very strong count i.e.
Hi-Opt II or Advanced Omega II or Halves, then a S17 DAS DD game with a -.19%
House Advantage is nicely profitable with a 2-1 spread as long as the penetration is >65%.

You'd be better off flat-betting $100 in a high limit room, in a 6D game with LS, and Wonging the heck out of anything negative. Do it when there are games on the TV, pretend you have a lot of money on the game(s) and take a lammer and run to the bar w. TV and cheer at auspicious times. There will probably be other sports fans and sports bettors watching too so learn something legitimate about the games beforehand so you can manage your time with socializing.

And while you're at it, nobody gets douched out for spreading $100-$200 in a 6D game. High-Low will be just fine for such a venture.
