Playing 2 Hands in a 6 deck shoe?

I would like some opions........

The casino I play at has 2 playable hands per person. Is it a good idea to play both hands.

I understand that you could win both hands, loose both hands or win 1 loose 1. In the long run is it worth taking the risk? The other option is to play both hands only when the count is high, but this would look odd and may bring some "heat".

Opions are like butt's everone has one but some are better than others, So please only Helpfull comments.

This is good advice if you are playing heads up and have simmed this situation and know exactly what to bet on how many hands at each count. Winging it will not suffice doing this.

If anyone else is at the table try to play 1 hand in negative counts and 2 in positive counts. As a general rule of thumb bet 75% of your 1 hand bet on each hand if you switch to 2 hands. If you were going to bet 1 hand of 100 bet 2 hands of 75 instead. This will increase your winrate and keep the hourly standard deviation the same.

It almost sounds like you are playing some sort of multi-action BJ game. If that is the case then playing multiple spots will not eat any cards during negative counts. There is a good general answer to this question in the Frequently Asked Questions thread, but if it is a multi-action game then this article is more applicable.

I never said it was the best option, just showing him there are other options to consider. Playing heads up, people have been known to spread to three hands to eat cards.
