I think this is a real grey area. In Pa a couple years ago a casino "busted" an AP team for playing on multiple cards. They were actually charged with "something".... I am not sure what. I was interested to see what was going to happen with this case, because as everyone knows non-AP's do this everyday at every casino. Family members and friends playing on others cards and cashing promotions.JohnCrover said:

If I had to guess, I would bet the AP team members "settled", probably pleading guilty to some small charge and paid a fine rather than fight it, which would have been interesting.
Anyway, with Vegas casinos, especially the local type casinos cracking down on AP machine players in recent months, I wouldn't be surprised if they came up with more of this being "illegal", despite that we all know and have seen many people do so. I can't tell you how many times I have been behind someone at a kiosk, swiping 3 or 4 cards of family members or friends.

And one other comment and this is purely hypothetical....not speaking of any actual person or event. 
But let's say a spouse, or even family member or friend passes away, I see nothing wrong with the spouse, family member or friend playing off all points and offers on the card, even future offers for a month or two. I mean everything (points, offers) was earned. Pretty sure the casino might not agree, but if I found myself in that situation, I would not feel guilty about doing that. Again, I am talking hypothetical here.
