Anyone have anything to chip in re playing poker in UK casinos?

Fancy having a go at this, but have some reservations around the risks of collusion. I remember a great comment from someone along the lines of he was playing a game at a casino in London, and there were so many signals going on he thought he was on night out for the deaf community - he said he couldn't be sure who was signalling to who!

Bearing in mind the lack of awareness of staff in spotting even the most obvious signs that players are counting at the BJ tables, I wonder if they're anymore capable of spotting this sort of thing. I've read lots around play at organised games at casinos, as the staff there will be able to spot any instances of collusion, but frankly I'm not so sure.

If you are a tournament player then you have nothing to be worried about and I have never encountered collusion in the years that I have been playing tournaments at the top London casinos. Cash games are 'generally' safe but you should still have your wits about you! Avoid any 'private' games or tables with suspiciously low flop%, 'unusal' plays or suspicious body language. I like to 'case' the joints out for a few weeks beforehand and 'get to know' all the 'regular' players before I commit myself.

Also, most players who do collude are unable to yield enough information to make it a genuine worthwhile enterprise, especially in 9-10 handed games where knowledge on 1-2 other players hands isn't going to help you all that much.
