it's been some time since i read it. as i recall in the interview Zen mainly refers to borderline situations for the application of intuitive actions and then mainly for index plays.
i'm wondering if he ever uses intuition otherwise, such as for ramping up bets or what i don't know.
for my own part, it's hard to explain but at times when i'm playing i experience what are like extremely obtuse and extremely fast paced but recognizable logical based thoughts that are tied to what i've studied about advantage play blackjack or tied to my past experience while playing advantage play blackjack that work to influence my play decisions beyond what an orthodox counters game plan would call for.
I have personally witnessed this behavior. Occasionally he'll segue into a rendition of "Fours..Fours...I want some Fours" while meticulously stacking his chips in fours and arranging them in some set pattern in an attempt to dislodge the Asian Ploppies. That is, after he's done using them to eat cards and their now just a pain in the ass.zengrifter said:I like to chant the 'Daimoku' - NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO - at the table! You can't call yourself a card-carrying Christian if you haven't tried to use God as a cash cow at least once in your lifetime! You know, pull his handle and see what comes out.zengrifter said:What about you, Aslan - ever ask Jesus for a win? zg
