Qfit - RPC CV Tables

Qfit,

Just received CVBJ in th email.
Can you email me import file for the RPC CV tables as discuss in the CV Drills thread or will I have to figure out how to enter all the data myself?

I havent read thru the manual yet, but can you tell me quickly how to set the card point values so I can set up the counting drills.

I can supply the CV tables for RPC if you can prove you have bought the tables. I got them from Revere himself in his living room. But, I won't violate copyrights.


For some reason, Revere no longer answers my calls I will assume you had the book.

Someone with CVSim, please generate a rounded composite RPC set - two actually - one for s17 and one for h17 - including both DAS and nonDAS + surrender. Run them for 4D @ 1/4D TC.

After you get the above, we'll go over how to combine and condense to a single composit set. And the 1/4D #s - you'll just multiply them x2 and that will take care of the final rounding. zg

Do not need your instructions for set up, configured RPC 4D (from PBJasAB) into CVBJ and double checked using the flashcard drills to confirm data was entered correctly. Everything A-OK, so far.

ZG- As soon as the sims are available I will follow your instructions for combining and condensing to a single composit set.

Well, if we can't get fresh RPC#s, start with the Rukus 2DTC ZEN #s (the unrounded set#1), which should work just fine for RPC, IMHO.

Divide each index in half as a starting point. Then further condense to the "Grifter-60", then round further by eye to achieve personal pattern convienience.

Once you've done that, post them for a look see, and then maybe someone can attempt to prove if they are as good/better/worse than the mainframe-generated #s of Revere 30+ years ago. zg

Ps - Another option is to use one of the free index generators found in the FREE RESOURCES sticky in this forum.

i am out of town away from home computer for the next few weeks, but can take a crack at this if someone reminds me at the end of june (if you guys want to wait that long :grin: ).

I am guessing that the conversion from ZEN 2DTC described above will be so close to RPC 1/2DTC, after final rounding, that no further index generation will be necessary. zg
 
Oops, we want a 1/2D matrix, so divide the 2DTC #s by FOUR! zg
Here is the conversion chart by 1/2DTC. I havent looked at grouping or "eyeballing" yet.:

Ps - Another option is to use one of the free index generators

The indexes in the books are more accurate than the indexes from the free generators. Also halving the original Zen indexes (not the newer ones) would also be more accurate.

Hey Rukus - Stork is also intent on learning RPC with 1/2DTC. Some experts would say that I'm doing them an injustice by dispelling the myth of the sancrosact relationship of specif card tag sets to resultant matrices - like using the ZEN above for RPC.

How about running off a 4D RPC set for 1/2DTC? Be interesting to see how far they are off from these ZEN#s. zg
 
really? I know the index for 16 vs X is in the zero range. I thought the index for 16 vs 9 was more in the 4 or 5 range. I'll have to recheck my info. Maybe I've been misplaying this hand for years.

i can try to get something done this week. have been doing a lot of traveling recently, but will try and knock something off by the end of this week.

Oops, I was talking about 16v10. 16v9=0 is a MISTAKE. zg
