question about players edge

regular shoe game, 6d, dealer hits on soft 17, DAT, RSA, no surrender. The true count was +26 (the highest I've ever seen in a shoe was +18 so I couldn't believe it), what was my advantage over the house once the count is that high?

it goes up fairly steadily at about .5% or between .6% and .8% if u use all indicies. heres a sexy chart

at tc = 15, advantage = 10%

a deck thats +26 might look like 36 face/aces, 10 small cards and 8 midsized (7, 8 and 9)

the deck would become so predictable that you would be past any index points necessary for even the most wild deviations of strategy. how worng would it even be to doubling on a 23 vs a dealer 2 lol! (you ob would do this is the count was +40 or something, but i dont know where the index would be

In Red 7, you have a running count. It is an unbalanced system hence you would not convert it to a True Count.
Did you start your count at -12 and kept on counting and ended up at 26?

If so, your advantage over the house would be ,

Running Count/4*Decks remaining.

I know for KO, which like red seven is an unbalanced count, the running count begins to run faster (with more than one deck remaining) than the true count after +4, which in KO is both running count and true count. If my calculation is correct, KO RC of 26 would be a TC of 15 with two decks remaining. With one deck remaining, a KO RC of 26 would actually be a TC of 26, since the unbalance has been eliminated at that point.

Am not really sure about the Red seven count, but how could you hit the casino if you are not sure how to calculate your edge ?

Like how do you determine when to have your max bet out ?

Most of these unbalanced counts, like KO, have rules of thumb as to when you reach key count and pivot point. What they usually lack are instructions on how to true up running count to true count, since the whole idea of unbalanced counts is to avoid deck estimation and true up calculations. So the unbalanced count player only know when to start betting multiple units on a very conservative running count basis, and when to begin betting max bets, which in KO represents a very precise 2% edge.

im pretty new to counting so i usually double my initial bet when the count gets to 0 and increase my bet as it goes up. i dont have a strict betting system tho, should i?

Since your using Red 7, Blackbelt in Blackjack would be a great start.
