If you have someone else's Diamond card, can you go into the Diamond lounge? Do they check ID at the door?

I've heard you can use someone else's Diamond card to valet.

I've only been to the Diamond Lounges in A.C. and San Diego (Rincon), and both checked ID. Don't know about the other locations.

Well I just went into the Diamond Lounge at Caesars Windsor in Ontario, and the lady goes:

"Oh, usually you need 50,000 Tier Points to get in."

"What? I just got to Diamond and this is the 'Diamond' Lounge"

"Yes, but you need 50,000 Tier Points to use it usually. Since you've played a lot the last 2 days you can come in, but if there's ever a line you won't be allowed in."

What a sick joke.

Each casino can make its own rules about that. there was a time 2-3 years ago when some of the AC casinos charged entry to "abusers" of the Diamond Lounges - frequent entries and lots of drinks and little play after reaching Diamond. It didn't last long due to complaints.

One day I was chatting with one of the Diamond Lounge managers in AC and she explained that there are actually 7 levels of Diamond and 3 levels of 7* that they use for comp purposes, such as breaking out the good Scotch, etc.

In AC, I used to frequent Diamond Jims, at the Trop. It used to be free if you earned 25 points in a day. The bartender was a real oldtimer that played pro B-ball pre-NBA. One day he brought in a photo album of him meeting a highschooler by the name of Wilt the Stilt, and Wilt was the one that looked in awe.

Utterly ridiculous. I'm so over trying to get a Diamond card. Just another reason to hate HET.

I played craps using my system to place offsetting bets with a total of over $250 of my chips on the layout per point, but reducing the variance. Played that system for a few hours (not betting when the pit boss wasn't looking) and I made platinum in a day. The cost of playing that system was offset by the value of the free rooms, comps, free slot and table play, and of course the free shuttle around AC.

In Windsor it isn't actually called "The Diamond Lounge", its called the "VIP room" or something like that... I can't remember exactly. It's located right next to the High Limit Room that used to be the High Limit Slots.

Sounds like something from Tolkien. Or maybe Freemasonry. :toast:

HET will definitely give you better liquor (single malt Scotch) at the table if you're Diamond. I just leave my Diamond card out on the table when I order to avoid making the waitress have to ask.

The Diamond lounge at Caesar's is the only one in AC I know of and it's often closed and doesn't have a lot of good stuff in it. Only been in it once or twice.

But overall, the room with LFB you can get almost any time any where is worth it, a significant lifestyle enhancement. And Seven Stars is orders of magnitude above that, but I'll probably never get that.
