Questions about REKO

I've been playing bj for years but I'm new at counting. I've read quite a few books but still in the process of figuring out what strategy I want to use. I'm heavily leaning towards REKO, however, I have a few questions. These questions are in regards to 6 deck btw and the free book listed on the qfit website.

Betting ramp goes from 5 to 10 at -3 and -2. Then goes up to 25 at -1. Is this not a drastic jump that may catch heat? Why no 15 or 20?

Why does IRC start at -20 when KO itself starts at -24?

The betting ramp starts at -3 so why not just have IRC start at -17 if thats where the betting advantage kicks in (pivot point?).
All of the indices start at +2, so those would have to move to +5. I think this would be more user friendly from a player's perspective to increase bets from 10 at 0 to 50 at +5. Then 75 at +7 as shown in the chart on page 72.

How much exactly of a hit would one take by playing this way or is there a flaw in my logic and Im just totally looking at this wrong?

Advance indices as listed on page 248 and 249 show, for example, 16 vs 10 at -7 and 12 vs 4 at -6 (S17) so why is there such a drastic difference between these and +2?

Last question for now.. 8,8 v 10 if no surrender do you split?
