Any suggestions on the better shoe games in Reno?
That's an odd question. Reno is the capital of single deck and you want to know about shoe games? That's like traveling to Cheyenne looking for the best jambalaya.flyingwind said:Any suggestions on the better shoe games in Reno?
I'm afraid that the quality of shoe games in the Reno/Tahoe area are less than ideal since they are all H-17 for starters. My best suggestion is a deeply dealt DD game (don't look for DAS) with a 1:4 x 2 spread. This will keep you out of trouble and the DD indices won't be that much different from those of H-17 shoes.flyingwind said:That is strange, isn't it?
I've be studying so hard to perfect my shoe game, and I'm still working on it. Single deck and double deck seem like such different games to me, especially from all that I've read on this site. I'm afraid to transpose my shoe game to single/double deck... I'm not going to make a mistake like spreading 1:15 on SD or DD like I do in shoes, I hear that you get shuffled on that way. But, inside, I'd be paranoid that I'm making strategic errors left and right. I'm not even sure if Hi-Lo is good enough to take on SD/DD.
As for Reno, the Lake Tahoe and Reno areas are one of my favorite places to vacation. I'd like to plan a week of vacation out there.
Anyway, if there are any good shoe games out there, I'd love to play
them.
No need to mess your brain up just to play some DD. Just watch the dd 9 v. 2 and dd 11 v. A (if you're used to S-17) and you're pretty much in the clear.flyingwind said:Looks like I need to learn 1D and 2D games.
I'm in Reno now and it's definitely a SD/DD town.flyingwind said:Looks like I need to learn 1D and 2D games.
You're making it out to be much harder than it actually is. Review BJ Bob's last post, which tells you all you really need to know!flyingwind said:Looks like I need to learn 1D and 2D games.
