I'm going snowboarding in Tahoe on the 6th, and will be hitting up casinos on the 5th and possibly the 7th.

I no longer have my subscription to trackjack. Just curious if anyone has played recently and knows of any DD with great rules in the Reno area (I'm using Zen w/indices)? My bankroll calls for a lot of wonging, and I'm not talented enough to camo wonging in and out of single decks constantly.

As always thanks for the help guys!

Your low BR will not require wonging in some of the great Reno 1D games. Just play all! zg

Indices will help my play somewhat, but without indices playing all hands on a SD in Reno with my BR I'm looking at a ROR of 26%

sounds like you don't have a br if you can't play all sd. you might as well go all out hail mary style. if you lose it all who cares? take a shot. if you can't lose that little of money you shouldn't even be playing blackjack. also, there are $2-$3 SD tables in Reno at places like fitzgeralds, cal-neva, alamo, rail city, etc.

That is why I usually play DD and just wong in at higher counts. Even with a small bankroll a small ROR can be acheived with wonging. But the grifter knows a lot about using the zen count, so I guess I'll give SD a shot. The indices will definitely improve my EV too.

Jetace another reason to play the SD is often the rules on the DD games are not that good. One place I have played DD is the sands where there DD game is hit 9,10,11 only. better to play the SD game at Sienna, silver club or Boomtown or wong in/out on the 6 deck games.

Is that good advice to advise playing negative counts with a small bankroll? Am I missing something?

You can exit some neg-counts. PLUS you have time and NO EXCUSE not to learn the top10 indices! zg

The few 2D Reno games have BAD rules. zg

That's a good point too. I've played at quite a few places in Reno (Silver Club, Rail City, Alamo, Peppermill, Atlantis) but haven't found really good penetration on SD. I've never played DD in reno, just my few trips to Vegas, so that is why I've been inquiring on DD games. I used to have trackjack but just had my account expire. So I was hoping someone could look up to see if there were any good rules.

From what I've heard thus far it sounds like there aren't any decent DD tables in Reno, so I'll stick to SD. I just don't like playing on the weekend because crowded tables means 1 or 2 rounds before a shuffle on SD. But the old work schedule prevents from anything else.

Thanks for all the info guys.

So I just got back from Reno, played at Boomtown and Siena. The early evening shift at Boomtown gave me no problem wonging in and out on SD. Later in the evening they started telling me I couldn't jump in mid deck because "card counters know the exact time to jump in". I made $70 in 4 hours which was higher than my EV.

I was playing Zen with indices for positive count play, since I was wonging out on negative counts.

Siena wouldn't let me wong in at all so I just wonged out on negative counts. Made $25 the two hours I was there. So overall I made $95, not bad for my small bankroll, but not amazing either.

FYI, Peppermill no longer has any SD DOA, only 10 and 11. I guess they have new management and changed the rules, so avoid Peppermill if you can.

Although they didn't allow wonging, I was impressed with Siena. It was very clean and the ventilation worked well to keep the smoke away.

Snowboarding was okay, but there was a big lack of snow on the mountain, so I had to dodge a rock or ten.

Overall I see it as a successful trip, and had fun counting and boarding.
Thanks for all the tips gents!
