Resplitting tens

If the count is sky high, your max bet is out, and you get a pair of tens against a 5 or 6, split them and get another ten, would you resplit the tens? I know the +EV would be to resplit tens as long as the count is greater than the index, but I'd rather have 2 20s against a 5 or 6 than 4 stiffs against a 5 or 6.

Why double 11 v T? I'd rather be able to hit again if I pull a 4.

Why surrender 15vT? I might pull a 6 and have 21 ... winning my bet instead of losing half of it.

Why split AA v T? You only get one card on each hand and might end up with two crap hands vs a dealer 20.

Why play blackjack? The roulette table has lots of pretty colors.

Yes, absolutely, resplit to the max.
Unless you are concerned with exposure. zg

There's nothing sweeter than splitting face cards vs a six, getting a five on each hand; then watching the dealer turn over a face card in the hole and then bust, only because you took the five that WOULD have given him 21!

BTW; love your post, Sabre. :)

BTDT.

The table, who were about to crucify me, suddenly LOVED me. The mob is fickle.

Personally, I would start to add a bit to the index as I went up in splits, especially if I thought there might be heat, and/or I had a max bet out. Now, if the count is +20, by all means, have at it. But if it's +7, you may not want to just keep re-splitting.
