a friend of mine , a good counter, using half wongs, plays with spread 10-50 with European rules: no surrender, no insurance against ace, double any 2 cards, resplit aces allowed. To his opinion the worst what might happen is going down to 1500 if playing with a bets of this level before coming back to initial level
What would be your thoughts?

He is approximately correct, but it could be worse.
What does 'half-wong' mean? zg

I'm thinking he meant wong halves as opposed to half wongs. The former being statistically more significant than the latter.... of course as with any system using it to its fullest and without error is what is most important.

A 1-5 spread is pretty benign, unless heavy wonging is used or the game is pitch. What is his total bankroll? Is it replenishable? I get the feeling the bankroll does not justify $50 max-bets.

4 or 6 decks, Eutopean rules, no surrender, reasonable pen double any 2 cards, splitting aces, resplittingsg aces, no insurance , wong halves.

anoher question: I f I do only hi low, and wong i when tc 2 with 2 bets of 15 each or 20 when tc 3, what is mine ror? bankroll 1500, could be another 1500

basicaly he spreads more, 5-50, but seldom. I bet behind him only in high counts,ignoring negatives, can I win in this scenario? as for him he is very successfuk gambler over 25 years.
