I met the owner of this place playing Crazy 4 Poker at the Palazzo 6 months ago. He said the electronic games keeps labor costs down!

It has been about a year but you are correct there were two types of electronic BJ games. I researched and found the following link to the one game produced by Digideal.

I found if you stand at one of the middle boxes you can see the other players hands and count. I was able to count a few shoes but it was very challenging.

The rub is trying to determine penetration. I remember approximating a 1.5 to 2 deck pen using a quick 3 card multiplier but it was pure speculation.

The "dealer" has the ability to tell you approximately how many cards remain in the shoe if you ask. From information I was able to gather at the time the manufacturer maintains it is designed to play like a live 6 deck game with a shuffle upon completion of the shoe.
