I recently read some books about mnemonic techniques to help me to study and some of them explained how to memorize a full deck perfectly. I practiced a little bit and can perfectly memorize the order of the 52 cards of a shuffled deck in a little bit over 5 minutes. Some folks on TV use the same tricks to do it under 30 seconds but that would be pointless for what I want to do.
Since I only need to remember 10 "different" cards for blackjack, I think I could pretty easily use these techniques to keep a side count of everything with some practice and by using some other techniques I think I could even remember some slugs of cards perfectly.
What kind of advantage would I have from doing so, how the hell am I supposed to adjust my betting ramp (biggest problem!) and find the index plays, etc.
Thanks in advance!
