Soft back off

Had an extremely talkative dealer asking me non stop questions. The dealer told me several times that I really should check out the casino down the road. I wondered if this could be a soft back off, but I was playing a $15 table with a low spread (1-6) and had only win about$150 at the time. Am I paranoid?

Thats not a back off, thats not anything. A dealer can't back you off. A dealer may even turn around and tell the floor you're counting and they must just shrug and not even care. A soft back off to me is when the PB or Floor says they're closing your table after you've been playing for hours. I'd be more concerned with this 1-6 spread. You can't beat shoe games with 1-6 if you are playing all counts, or even wonging out the negatives... those neutrals can still catch you on the wrong end. 1-10 is minimum for shoe games.
