Does anyone know anything about the games and playing conditions at the casinos at Southend?

I think they're called Rendezvous & Maxims.

I'm trying to access if they would be worth travelling to, so any information would be much appreciated.

I think they are both owned by one of the chains, so the rules will be the same as for their other outlets - although I'm sure the deck penetration will vary by dealer. I'm told that one of them has the only craps table in the UK - so that's got to be worth the visit, just to get some clay on the pass line and take full odds ! ! !

Thanks Newb99, I have no idea how to play craps, It would be a spectators sport for me but i'm sure worth a look.

I've done more research and it turns out that Maxims in part of the Stanley Chain and Rendezvous is part of a chain called London Clubs International.

I have previously played in a Stanleys Casino (Mint) and they use CSM's on their lower limit tables. I seem to remember the Pen being ok on their hand shuffled games. Does anyone know if this would be the simular for Maxims or not?

I have never been to a London Clubs International owned casino, so have no idea if they use CSM's or what their playing conditions are. Has any one else got experience with this casino or chain?

I don't mind taking a risk on bad pen as I can look for other weaknesses in their games but the last thing I want to do is travel 100 miles to be faced with a room full of CSM's or hand shuffled games with too higher table mins for my BR to allow.

That's an old one. I did see what I thought was a craps table at a casino in the midlands, but it wasn't - it was a UK dice table where there's no pass line or odds and most (if not all) of the bets are of the high house edge, proposition variety, ie throw a seven, get paid out at 4-1 (a 16.67% HE).
A great shame.

I think the problem with craps tables in the UK, or lack of them, is the availability of staff trained to work them??

Where are they in Glasgow? Must drop in and have a go the next time I visit that fair city.

Riverboat weekdays night, and sometime sunday night. Whip like 200-300 out then they will open .

Same as alea. But is harder to get it opened there.

They use csm's.
Both casinos are located in same building. One of them is only for slot machines and other one's got tables with csm's.
