Split or double 4,4 vs. 3

I know you need a TC of 10 to make this play but which is better. My UAPC shows both of these moves come in at the same count (+10).

Splitting the 4s gives you the opportunity to resplit and or double if you get the right cards. I wonder if that has been figured in.

I would say splitting would help your EV but increase the flucuation of your bankroll. Just a guess.

If you got another 4 you would have all the more reason to split again.

I enjoy talkin' it but I wish I was walkin' it. I love this game.

The general rule in this situation is, that when you have the choice between dd and split, always go for the split.Assuming you have the advantage, which you do in this case due to the TC, you are not only extending the hand, but also driving up the RC by continuing to draw more 4's, so split 'til it runs out and then take that deep breathe.
