Suppose I simply want to realize bonuses from first time deposits on sports betting sites.

What types of bets should I look for?

I want lowest risk of losing my deposit.

How should I size my bets?

Are you just trying to play for the EV from the bonus, or are you handicapping? There's not much EV left from simply doing sportsbook bonuses these days. However, if you're closer to a breakeven handicapper, you can do a lot better.

I just did a bit more review and have realized this "rollover" essentially nullifies any bonuses.

I am not a handicapper, but have looked for some resources on the subject and would appreciate if you could redirect me in that regard.

As far as seeking EV from bonuses, I give up (thankfully before even starting).

If you get a bonus on a bet, bet the max you can to get the max bonus on a team, then bet an equal amount on the other team on a different sportsbook.

Well, the problem with this is that the rollover is usually enough for the juice to completely cover the bonus. So you need to have some handicapping skill, or look for differences in the line.
