Strategy Cards allowed at the Tables?

#1
I am Very new to Playing BlackJack in Casinos. I have only played twice at a Riverboat in Elgin Illinois. Beginners luck the first time: Sat down with $60 at a $15 table, walked away 3 hours later with $300 feeling very good and very cocky. Went two weeks later to the same table and lost the $300 in less than an hour. So now that I know it was nothing but beginners luck and I made tons of bad calls the second time, I figured I better do some research before attempting it again and came across this site.

My question is, I have seen several places where I can print or purchase strategy cards. Can these be used at the tables in casinos? I wouldn't think they would allow it since they would rather see people loose faster by making bad bets.

I tried searching the forums, but did not find an answer.

Just curious.

Most places will allow you to use the strategy card. Some players may complain about you slowing down the game if you use it too often. It would be best to memorize basic strategy, though.

If you get a card, be sure it has the right information for the game you play. The basic strategy charts on this site are correct.

Basic strategy cards are usually OK to have with you. I once saw a pit critter ask to borrow one from a player at my table last month. He wanted to answer a player's question at another table. I think they also provide cover if you are counting.

B S Cards

Check with the pit at the casino where you will be playing.
Most will allow it, but some will not.
The less you have to look at it, the better.
Most new players seem to have trouble on soft hands (like when to double or just hit) and when to split.
