Which of course begs the question, "What is wrong with Sugarhouse?" I have already been to Chester, but have not yet visited SH.

Besides being in an unsafe location, there aren't enough tables open. It's almost impossible to get a seat, and forget wonging.

So, I'll consider it a work in progress.

Is it a casino being built from the ground up, or was there an existing racetrack or slot parlor already there? Does it have valet parking, as a way maybe to cope with the location problem? How does the location compare to Atlantic City, whose surrounding area I consider extremely unsafe?

BTW, when I went to Chester, I found my GPS routing me through an extremely poor and downtrodden area. It was one reason I did not particularly like it.

No DD. Standard PA rules. Decent games as games go.

Penetration tends to generally not be too great, at least the couple of PA casinos I went too. AC tends to be somewhat better. Although this is very dependent on casino and dealer.

One of the PA casinos is so busy, you have to sometimes wait an hr or so to play. Even the $25 tables are full on a WEEKDAY.

PA has totally spoiled me on rules. Even if I weren't counting, a 0.39% (8 deck) / 0.36% (6 deck) game in a casino has to be the single best bet in there without AP.

I think the Pennsylvania 6 deck game have less house edge than the El Cortez single deck game. It's nice that some of the good PA rules are spilling over into AC, but you won't find as good of a game in AC, even at the high limits. Even if Nevada adopted Pennsylvania's blackjack rules, the Vegas casinos would still make a killing. Ploppy strategy has a 1-2% house edge, stupid ploppies play at a 5% house edge. A difference of a few tenths of a percent won't make much difference to the casino's revenue, but it makes a huge difference to our EV. The penetration is pretty good at my usual PA casino, 1-1.5 decks cut out of 8.

I didn't like SugarHouse. I went there the first week it opened, and noticed only a few $25 blackjack tables, all of them with a line. Wonging was impossible, and I don't want to back-bet ploppies because I don't trust what they'll do, and it's almost impossible to convince someone to split tens or double down soft 19 even when that play is the right thing to do.

Went to Hollywood near Hershey instead, due to time limitations. All $25 min or highter tables, mostly full. This was Saturday night. Pen was poor. Played very little.

What rules have spilled over? The only thing unique about PA games is the late surrender, and I haven't seen that beginning to appear in AC if it wasn't already there. Also, PA games have S17 and 6-deck-- all I see in AC is less of both these rules-- case in point, the Borgata.

Why do you say ploppy strategy has a 1%-2% HA? Isn't BS (by itself) a ploppy strategy? Or do you mean non-BS-playing ploppy players?
