Suggestions or recommendations for Atlantis in Bahamas ?

I'm going to Atlantis in Bahamas for the Memorial Day weekend.
I use Hi-Lo and usually sit at $25 min or $50 min tables.
I usually play two hands, and I don't mind if there're others at the table.
I don't back-count, but I like to Wong out and table hop when the count plummets.
My plan is to take $10k or $15k with me, although I probably won't need it.
Since I'm unlikely to return to Atlantis for a long time, I probably don't need to
worry about heat as much (compared to Atlantic City or Las Vegas for example).
I just don't want to get backed off after one day. LOL.
This will be my first time at Atlantis.
Are there any suggestions or recommendations?

I met a guy (hi roller ploppy) at an AC casino who told me a story where a security guard tapped him and accused him of cheating. He then said if he left the casino now, they wouldn't call the police. Security escorted him to a taxi out front. The taxi driver drove out into the country, stopped the care and attempted to steal his bankroll. The guy managed to get away. The whole thing was a set-up.

i play there 1-2 times a month never had a problem. I usually play the $100 table and range my bets from 100-1000 and never ever had a problem and have hit there for big numbers!!!! $100 tables have no mid shoe entry. I have played at Crystal Palace and they have stoped and reshuffled in the middle of the shoe or cut 2+ decks of on 6 deck shoes. Atlantis double deck tables they will watch. Especially high plays!!! I stick with the 6 decks hand shuffle(which all tables are hand shuffle) and look for dealers cutting them thin!!! U will do good there just dont expect alot of comps!!! Maybe free room that is all!!! Goto the seafire steakhouse for dinner its good!!!

The story about the taxi was told to me by a guy sitting next to me at the tables in AC. I did not have him hooked up to a polygraph.

IIRC, there is a "give me my money back" at gunpoint story in one of Ian Anderson's books.

i have heard of stories of players staying outside of resort not at hotel getting robbed on taxi ride back to other hotels. But if you are staying at resort you will be fine its safe.

My only recommendation is Nobu . . . great restaurant! As for the blackjack, meh, the Crystal Palace had better pen on average the last time I was there and was less crowded, but YMMV.

Like everywhere else, there is crime in the Bahamas. The worst story I found on TripAdvisor was two ladies having their drinks drugged in the disco.

You are thinking of Tommy Hyland in St. Kitts. However, the interview mentions Tommy Hyland was arrested in the Bahamas for using a computer long ago.

FLASH1296, how the hell did you get backed off at Atlantis? There's absolutely no heat what so ever. The floor supervisor was actually too busy dancing to pay attention to the games. Yes, he was dancing to the ultra-loud club music. LOL.

Onetobet, I know why you go there 1-2 times per month. That seems like a lot, but it's worth it. LOL. I stayed at the Royal Towers, but next time, I'll try the Cove.

Seafire Steakhouse was good. They actually had a photo of Peter Lugers Steakhouse on the wall. Seafire Steakhouse needs to tone down on the portion size, though. Too big for one person. Nobu was really good. Mesa is also very, very good. I couldn't get a reservation at Bahamian Club, but heard that it's terrific.

Nottooshabby, because you mentioned Crystal Palace, I took a cab over there. The resort is a total dump. The casino is tiny. There was heat even before I sat down. Worst of all, you can't play two hands without being rated. Unrated, you can play only one hand. I wasted 30 min going there, 30 min coming back, and 20 min roaming and studying the scene. I wasted a precious 80 min of my vacation because of your poor advice. In the future, I'll have to take your advice with a grain of salt. For others who're thinking of going to Bahamas, please don't go to Crystal Palace. You'll regret the wasted time and money.

Atlantis doesn't have double-deck games. Their single-deck game pays 6:5.

Late at night, around 2:00 AM, I was walking out of the casino and a woman came up to me and asked me if I wanted a blowjob. She told me to quickly walk over to her car that's parked outside. She was persistent but I refused. A few minutes later, I told the security guard about the incident, and he said that she probably saw me put cash in my pocket and was planning to rob me outside in her card. What the f**k!!!

Jay Z (Shawn Corey Carter) was there betting $20k per hand at a private table. Someone please get him a basic strategy card!!! It's unconscionable that the casino would allow him to play at such high stakes and allow him to piss away $100k in one sitting. By the way, why is he wearing shades in a dark casino at night? LOL!

Overall, I won about $1500, but I should've won more. I was busy with water rides, snorkeling, jet skiing, etc., so I couldn't spend too much time in the casino.
I would definitely go back.

I got caught at Cesar's Palace for doing just that, back-counting.
My betting spread was from $25-$100.

Let me preface this by saying I believe you both, OnetoBet and ArcticInferno. But I would like to resolve some discrepancies.

First, OnetoBet is right, Atlantis is a tough comp. Their webpage shows the Fri.-Sun. weekend rooms next week average $602/night for Royal Towers, $802/night for The Cove.

It takes heavy play to cover that and get food.

We haven't heard back from OnetoBet, but he must be confused about the double deck at Atlantis.

This must have been an expensive vacation for you, Arctic. Congratulations on the win, but it could not have covered three nights plus all those restaurants. I'm a little puzzled that:

1) You raised your budget substantially since Caesars,
2) You must have played a ton to get kicked out of Caesars for $100, but didn't play as much at Atlantis.

Finally, the outdoor game at The Cove pool is very slow; good for comps.

KimLee, it's been a long time since I was backed off at Caesars in Las Vegas.
Since then, I've learned a lot and accumulated a lot of experiences. And yes, my blackjack budget increased since then.
I'm not a professional gambler and I don't need the blackjack winnings to pay the mortgage. I have a primary source of income, so blackjack is a "side business".
I play blackjack because I enjoy the intellectual challenge. I think the mathematical aspect of blackjack is fascinating.
Bahamas vacation is exactly that. A vacation. Don't most people go away on a vacation on Memorial Day Weekend? I flew out on Friday and returned on Tuesday because Atlantis was having some special promotion for a free extra night. While on vacation, I did some work on my side business and earned $1500. Although the earnings from the side business didn't fully cover the cost of the vacation, it's okay. We blackjack players enjoy vacations just as much as everyone else. KimLee, with all due respect, I don't see any discrepancies.
