Table games approved in PA

Few of the PA. casinos have hotels, and the ones that do aren't near any big airports. It will be interesting to see if the casinos can come up with free,conveniant hotels for the gamblers. Having a nearby airport doesn't mean squat if there are no free hotels to stay in. AC is less than an hour away from Philadelphia airport.
I'm not familiar with Philadelphia airport. Are there a lot of flights from the east coast to there? I've never bothered looking into a flight from NY.

Doesn't make sense to fly from NYC to PHL. It's a 2 hour drive or train ride.
They don't need hotels. It's a locals market. Phila Park, in Bensalem, PA is right on the border of NE Phila, within a 30 minute drive of several million people. Same with Harrahs Chester, just south of the city, right off I-95.
Be interesting to see if they put ini decent games. I doubt it. Phila Park has no full-pay VP.

Exactly. Penn National, who added a casino is "out there"...Harrisburg is probably closest at 20 minutes away. But that joint was packed each time I went to the track up there the last year or two. One hotel at the interchange, and people packed in at the crappy slots and Shuffle Master BJ & roulette games.
I scoped the casino floor out last weekend on my way out of the grandstands, and there is plenty of rooms to have a solid pit or two in there. It's almost as if they planned for this day to come :grin:

Competitions
Competitions are good! Currently at least one AC casino is preparing to beat PA casinos. "ABC" casino has already improved its 6-deckers. ABC is a lot more AP-friendly now, and it's swarmed with APs ever since it has eased up the game

I don't believe ABC casino is improving conditions due to potential competition from pa yet. Pa is still probably the better part of a year away from table games. As all they have done so far is anounce the intent to change the law. The law as it is currently written has to be changed, and before that can happen their has to be public hearings. These things take time and it will not happen overnight. It is more likely that ABC casino is improving their game because revenue dropped after the negative changes they made in the summer.Pat said:Competitions are good! I was just playing along with pat, who seemed to want to keep it quiet, I am presuming because it is already "swarmed" with AP's. :laugh: I found that amusing as I play 30 hours a week in AC and the only swarms I've encountered are the cats under the boardwalk.Thunder said:
