Table wouldn't let me Wong out

So I was playing at a table yesterday and the count got super low so I excused myself to the bathroom and took my time coming back. As I approached I noticed everyone at my table staring at me and I sat down and realized they had waited for me.

"You didn't have to do that!" I said but they said No no we wanted to wait.

So about an hour later (with 2 original people and 2 different people) I wong out again and do the exact same routine. Except this time as I approach I see my table is empty and the dealer has the shoe out in front of him.

I thought everyone had left but I saw all their spots were reserved.

"Where did everyone go?"
"Oh, since they saw you leave they all decided they should take this time to take a break as well."

Pretty funny.
 
I've had the exact same thing happen.:laugh: I even went and got a pack of smokes so they were really patient. I felt like I had to play to avoid drawing extra attention to myself. Funny thing was the cards actually fell pretty good. You never know with this game...JtMM:cool:

I hope not. :laugh: I try to make things as fun and stress free as I can. Dealers and players seem to enjoy themselves that way but at the same time I avoid giving advice. Sometimes the dealer will ask me directly what the proper move is for a certain player and I will answer with "I would XXX but it's his money" and leave it at that....JtMM:cool:

This is the funniest story I have ever seen on this board!! Maybe they were all APs!

It's fun :)
 
I hat tries this for the purpose of winging out when others would normally wait for you, but how about asking for the dealer to save your spot with a marker rather than saying you are going to the bathroom. It may make others feel you may be gone for a longer period of time
 
waiting for wongers?

I have seen people wait to start the shoe for the odd man out but never for a person that asks for the spot to be saved. Leaving your chips is a sure sign you will return. As far as Pa. casinos are concerned nothing surprises me in those places anymore.
