The Carnival Valor

Just some info - cruise Carnival Valor last week and the BJ is all CSM, the only ones that were not were "Fun 21" with all the Queens taken out of the deck. So, if you want to make money, learn how to play poker b/c there is no profitable BJ playing on the cruise whatsoever.

In the past, Carnival was the cruise line of choice for my wife and I. I think we have taken Carnival about a dozen times. Before we decided to take our last cruise we had discovered blackjack. We had heard that Carnival had only CSMs so we went on Royal Caribbean. We were not disappointed.

I am being offered a cruise on the Norwegian Cruise Line.

Does anyone know what the playing conditions are like aboard their cruise ships ?

This information is a bit outdated, but last season NCL had decent BJ. I forget the rules, but I remember they were not bad. NCL has a department that comps gamblers, if you meet their requirements. If I recall correctly, it's 4 hours at $25 a day in done in advancce, $150 a hand if you ask while onboard.

When you say "outdated", how long has it been ?

Do you have a phone number or a website link for getting pre-comped.

From last spring. I called a number that was listed in an article in Casino Player Magazine. I no longer subscribe. They used to distribute the mag in Harrahs rooms.

I sailed on NCl's Pearl out of Miami last month. All tables had csm's except for a single $25 - $2000 table that was hand shuffled. 8 decks. Cut off two decks except for one dealer who went half deck deeper. No heat at all betting $25 - $200 but sadly only made off with $800.
