The Casino is Cheating: Confront or Exit Quietly?

Stuffing the Deck, it Does Indeed Happen

I agree that it probably does not happen much and is often thought of when luck gets bad but it does happen, I know, I proved it to myself. So I had the same dilemma, plead my case or walk away quietly, I did the later... sort of.

I have played black a lot jack on and off for 20 years at many casinos from local boats to vegas. Hot streaks come and go and when they do stuffing the deck crosses the mind.

But this time when the hot streak was gone and nothing goes rite for so long, I noticed something. Hitting my hard 14-16's worked out soo much more only to get blasted by the dealer working out a bust card to 20 on a bunch of lowcards. Also never saw anyone getting 20 much out of the gates- It happened soo much I decided to stop playing and just count 1 card in the shoe, the 5's. Low and behold, I counted 39 fives. I asked the dealer if it was an 8 deck shoe and she confirmed yes. I asked why then are there 39 5s that rolled out? She shook her one hand holding the dead cards at the end of the shoe and said that is because there are more here. I said you alread exceeded the max possible of 32, not even counting what was not dealt in the deck and a half or so. She looked at the shoe a little bit uncertain pointing at it. As she turned the undealt stack what was showing as the last card? Another 5 to make it 40!!! I counted the other shoe and it seemed ok. Another count of this red shoe and it was still high. Another count was 32 with 2 inches of cards left. I thought how could they do this when they spread the cards out in front of the cameras and people when they open the table? AH HAAA!! The dealer calls the PB over for either a mark on the card or the color between the spaded jack and another jack which look different. They are supposed to. This is the underside that you dont see until it is too late. Who cares if that was a little different. No one cared to look at the BACK side to see if it was different. So the the PB takes the cards and a stack from the discard rack and compares in hidden view while play continues. Then she all of a sudden slips a chunk of cards back in the discard box. That is where the can insert more low cards and remove high cards. I saw them do this ever single time I played there almost every shoe for months. Hmmmm. I never saw that at other casinos...

Well let's see...you witnessed them blatantly cheating for months and you kept playing there anyway? And you admitted to pit personnel that you were counting cards. And this is your first post.

I had this happen to me once too. I noticed this phenomenon shortly after drinking my 12th Long Island Ice Tea. I swear there were 64 5's in that 6-deck shoe.

I played this one game, where the count just consistently went up shoe after shoe, like it was missing high cards or something. And all these damn low cards would come out when I doubled my 9 v 3, 9 v 4, 10 v 9, etc., Also there was this weird sign above the table, something like "Spanish 21" or something, don't know what that was all about!
