Well, that puts you in good company.

I am not familiar with the story. When I have an hour I will go back and listen to the GWAE interview. BUT without knowing a thing about it, I am with LVBear....if Ryemo is vouching for the story and person....that is good enough for me. And that is not some sort of "buddy system" talk. Ryemo has earned that credibility.

And yes it is a longshot! Longshot occasionally come home.

Well I have nothing else to say on the subject. Feel free to believe what you want. As I said, I'm a good friend of Yoshi and I have no reason or incentive to validate his claims.

Thanks, KJ.

I have a saying that "it doesn't take that much to figure out who knows what they are talking about and who is just talking". Occasionally guys muddy the water...think: the guy with the super duper count that does magical, but mathematically impossible things as an example of someone that just likes to talk. Or the self proclaimed 20 year+ "professional player" who recently announced he averaged 32k over those 20 years. But generally, it just doesn't take much to figure out who is credible and who isn't.

Now that doesn't mean that anything said is above contestation. But you will do well ( I know I did) to just identify and pay attention to a few guys that know what the hell they are talking about, and soak in everything they have to share, rather than fight them or try to prove them wrong

To name a few from my time back getting started in the community, bigplayer, 21forme, Don Schlesinger, Munckin, Stanford Wong, LVbear (although he dosen't post often), and even Norm, whom I have had my differences with. Surely a few others that aren't coming to mind right now. In today's community, I'd put Ryemo in that class of people. If I were new to the community (or even not new), I'd certainly pay attention to everything he offered and shared.

Oddly, of late there are players, new and that have been a round a couple years, that rather than take advantage and benefit from those that know and are sharing their experiences, they seem to want to fight them, prove them wrong. Zenking, you are in this group, along with zeebabar and a few others. I just don't get it. o_O

Who exactly are the people you are referring to in both categories of people that 'know what theyre talking about' and 'those that dont'? If youre lumping me into the latter, thats hilarious. The people who I bet you claim to be in the former are the same people that think you dont have an advantage at +1, in which Ive had to educate them time and time again. Im just as good as anyone on this forum and who has ever played blackjack straight up, if not better.

Also how am i trying to prove anyone wrong? People have some serious reading comprehension issues. Im simply questioning the validity of a seemingly impossible story. Im also questioning suspicious practices done by the casinos not just in vegas, but everywhere and im the victim in all of this? Makes me laugh.

Lastly i dont need anyones help. If you think i burned bridges, then this whole community is as soft as toilet paper and i dont want any of your help anyway. Ill succeed regardless of what this community thinks of me. I hope everyone continues to be against me. Nothing new, just more satisfaction in proving everyone wrong.

But now that I said this, god will curse me even more to continue the losing. Welcome to my life. The fact Im still up 37k after 1000 + hours just shows how good I really am. EV doesnt exist for me and never will. I have to work twice as hard as the next guy just to be even. Im used to this.

Have you thought about your cost of living expenses may be too excessive and will likely be the difference between success or failure? Considering your lack of desire to put the time into playing. Your results sound fine, possibly you are beating yourself.

What do you want me to do? Go live under a bridge rent free? It's impossible to log hours here with short sessions. You guys have no idea how many hours I've logged just walking alone. I've also logged enough hours to more than cover my living expenses. So what you're saying is false.

Results might sound fine, but that's because of PA. Vegas and Cali have taken me for -2900(196 hours) and -1600(6.5 hours). Combine that with over 10k in expenses since I got here and you got a garbage bankroll of 43.4k now. I'm not even bothered anymore anyway so I dont care. If this is what it takes, so be it, im used to it. To get here and to hit my 2nd longest losing streak, the first time I move out on my own, I wouldn't have it any other way really.

Become a solid poker player with Vegas being the poker mecca it is. Persevere and eventually you get the hang of it.

I honestly think I would become the best poker player in the world if I ever picked up the game. I've already become one of the worlds best in video games and qualified to 4 international tournaments placing 2nd and quarter finals along with several national appearances in the semi finals.

I just really don't feel like learning something completely new at this point in time. I'm guessing it will take hundreds of hours to just become proficient enough to be able to grind $5 an hour. That's not something I'm interested in. I will say this though, the good thing about poker is there's no heat and you can just sit there all day. Blackjack I'm hopping around like a frog from casino to casino and it's impossible to log hours.

Well sir, eventually you'll come round. I guarantee it!

I realize your play in Vegas and in Cali is a very small sample size but up to this point how do the games, you are now playing compare with those in PA. Considering casino heat and everything else.

The rule-set I play in vegas is very similar to PA other than the H17/S17 variation. PA was all S17. Vegas is pretty much all H17 unless I go to hi-limit. I adjusted all my index plays to account for H17. Yes it's only 200 hours, but I've run pretty badly to still be down close to 5k as well as knowing my total EV after 1100 hours should be over 60k

I assume you are talking about shoe games, and that the Vegas games that you play also have late surrender. Now the H17 rule alone is -0.215 six deck, and -o.217 eight deck. In my mind that is a huge negative, especially when you factor in the very short sessions that you limit yourself to playing. Just to be clear, you do have late surrender right, and these are not double deck games that you are playing. If that is the case " that you only play shoes" you moved across the country to play less desirable games " unless you are getting superior cuts" that exhibit more excessive casino heat on average than what you were used to originally. Not to mention at a much higher cost of living to yourself. Maybe you should question the decision on moving out there, or you already have.

i can not imagine myself playing a H17 8 decker, i am still wondering when atlantic city will change there games all to 12deck, lose to a push, no surrender, no respliting, bj pay 1:1 table min 25$ and dealer gets 1 more chance =)

and on the other hand im suprised atlantic city did not wise up to PA man date rules and offer equal to them its been 7 years now

Yeah, I just get in a little over my head each time I watch the movie 21 or whatever :D
Yeah, I also watched that movie, and I went to Las Vegan just to win at the casino as the main characters did... I wanted to gain a lot of money and to live in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, it didn't work so well for me. Life there is very expensive and I couldn't afford that. If you are also thinking about moving to a new place, better consult https://costoflivingreports.com/ in order to be prepared for how much money you'll need to spend and to decide if you can afford that moving or not. Don't do the same mistake I did.

Hey guys! Thanks a lot for the useful info, I'm sure that helps! I had planned my Las Vegas trip this spring but had to postpone that due to the situation. That's sad :( I love the city and I haven't been there for a while. Can't wait to feel he unique atmosphere and get a chance to try Blackjack in a real life!

Expensive compared to where? Try southern California living!
