The Straw That Broke the Camels Back

So it has come to my attention that the poster going by Ion Saliu, who recently posted the conspiracy theory about the FBI looking into ASM is now banned from this forum as a known spammer. I got to say, we have the perfect moderator at this forum. He doesn't take side in forum fights. Doesn't allow a lot of garbage either. Bans are quiet and efficient. Kudos Al Rogers.

Now while I am familiar with this guy's hate, anti-Semitism and conspiracy theories concerning blackjack and every other topic under the sun that is responsible for his banning at every forum he has ever been on, I am curious as to whether he was ever a legitimate member of the blackjack community. He lists himself as founder of Blackjack Mathematics, of which a google search turns up nothing. Don S, Zengrifter anyone that has been around for a while and knows this history, was there ever anything legit about this guy as far as blackjack math, or was he always off his rocker?
Saliu has been a certifiable lunatic since day one. Not a legitimate bone in his body ... ever.

Well what is this "Blackjack mathematics" that he claims to be founder of? I can't find anything about it on the internet(s). Lol

He's got a whole site with articles and everything. Mostly sounds like disgruntled card counter. Not so much toward counting itself, but more the casino industry. I'm like that a little. Backoffs bug me because I feel like "your game sucks so bad you leave me no choice but to play the way I do! Give me a legit game and I'll relax a little. Maybe even do a little gambling. Buy a steak dinner, and tip my dealer. Until then, I'm gonna be as greedy as you are."

Ok, I did find something by this person. A very long winded article under Saliu dot com. (I don't recommend anyone visit there).

I got as far as paragraph 3 out of about 1500 when I read " the heart of the matter is a worthless concept known as card counting".

Yep....sounds like a losing counter to me.

I guess my question to all these kind of people making such dumb statements would be "have you been to Vegas ever and seen casinos back off players?"

Why would casinos be backing off players that are playing a worthless concept or strategy? Until some one of these clowns can answer that, the discussion is over (before it starts).

I can see how someone would go down that road though. Especially if you've played where I have. Like I told you before the stark difference I'm seeing right now between ASM and HS is so blatant you'd have to be in a drooling coma not to see it. I have frequently voiced my concerns about counting to a few other APs I play with and we're all in lockstep.. "Somehow the casinos are beating the math." Good pen, bad pen.. doesn't matter. Cards either aren't in the shoe, or they're somehow being strategically cut out of play on a consistent basis. "I can't win." Is pretty much the general mindset. "There's a reason there's no heat here. They know we can't beat them." Another common conversation we have. And it's true. Nobody is anywhere near EV for the year. I remember when I first started, how magical it was.. to watch cards fall that you knew were coming. I remember that confidence of "knowing" your doubles and blackjacks were about to 'bring down the house'. Yea sure, dealer gets lucky now and then, but your "luck" is unbelievable. Then it just stopped. I've seen these dealers win far too often for far too long to be blind luck. If they were on the other side of the table, they'd be in either OSN or handcuffs 5 years ago.

I am writing a few words of advice for 21forme, KewlJ, and Moses, take it for what it is worth. Happy New Year, and since it is please start respecting each other. Anyone that has a problem please take it to the site where all three of you can respond back and forth without one of you being locked out period. I no longer want any part of trying to be a ref and break up squabbles. I respect all three of you for your BJ knowledge and learned things from all of you, so thank you. Speaking for myself enough is enough you guys have to grow up sometime and frankly acting the way you do at times is not only embarrassing to each other but also gets in the way of meaningful dialog. As far as I am concerned, there is EQUAL blame to share on this, so please grow up.

BoSox, I return your Happy New Year and wish you the best in 2020, in all phases of life. However I reject your advice, in the strongest terms possible. As a matter of fact, it is a good thing I waited a bit after reading you post before responding, because my initial reaction was some pretty "choice" words for you.

Might I remind you of a few things. Moses, followed me to several forums, attacking and trolling me. At another forum that you and I participate on, he showed up, nice as could be to me before he turned on his attacks and threats. He later admitted to being nice (phony) hoping to get some personal information about me. He then went back to his normal ways and after numerous threats is banned from that Forum, which is one of those that it is almost impossible to be banned from. I think he is one of a total of two people banned because he repeatedly made physical threats.

At WoV, Moses created an account and asked members both publicly and privately if anyone had any information on me, name, pictures, address ect. He was banned (that account) from WoV.

Moses had repeatedly made not only physical threats, but repeated threats to come to Las Vegas, find me, take pictures and distribute the pictures to every casino and pit in Las Vegas. Repeatedly!

And then low and behold he shows up at my residence this past summer, turned away by security and then tried to sneak past security. It rose to the level that not I, but building management filed a police complaint against him.

While all of these things are completely unacceptable in society, read that part I put in Bold again. THAT should completely disqualify anyone in the AP community from ever being accepted.

So you can take your "EQUAL BLAME" comment and shove it up your ass, BoSox.

If you have learned stuff you consider valuable from Moses, power to you. Frankly I have to question YOUR judgement, because no one can play professionally in Reno, spreading green to black for 30 years. That is pure fantasy. So whatever it is you think you have learned, you should know it is about red chip play, NOT your level or what he is claiming. So good luck with that. Roll in to Reno and play the Moses version of "super duper count", spreading from $5-$15 and you can own the cardboard box Condo right next to his.

I can't fathom why you people just don't keep your mouths shut and just play whatever advantage game you're playing. All any of you are doing on these forums is giving the casinos more ammunition to make these games and/or pay tables worse!!
