I was just wondering about seating in a double-deck game; I usually sit at third base due to old habits and because you can see all cards played (if dealt up) which may result in a change in play due to indexes. However, since your bet is made obviously before the cards are dealt, would it be better to be at first base to catch the first cards the count was based on? (Especially with high counts.) Ideally it would be best if you're playing alone or with minimum other players, but this is generally not the case where and when I play. I'm asking since the count can fluctuate much quicker in DD (let alone SD) than in 6D, one dealt hand with more than a couple players can often enough change the true count quite a bit on one hand, especially towards the end. And I'm sure we've all had situations where a nice positive true count indicated a higher bet, only to see all the high cards go to others first and you yourself get a low card at third base. I'm just asking for opinions and feedback on this, what others think. Or if the whole topic is pretty much irrelevant. Thanks.
