This makes me sooo mad

This happend about half a year ago but just thought I would share this with yall.

I had soft 14 or 15 against dealers 6

Had a $15 bet up there and doubled down(One of my bigger bets so I had $30)

I get a 3.

Dealer ends up pushing my hand, but the dealer pays me anyways as she thinks I have something higher.


A player 2 seats over says "hey you don't pay him" and the dealer realizes that and pulls back the money.

I just snapped and said "Whats your problem? This isn't your money, why do you care if I win or lose? Its the casino's money not yours its not like yoru giving away your money, why did you say anything?"

She says "I guess your not a honest person"

I respond back "If your a saint don't goto the casinos and gamble."

I could not get over this as I was just fuming. Litterally 2 shoes have passed and I was still taking verbal jabs at her from time to time, not to sure why she didn't leave by the amount of harassment I was giving.

But seriously this really got under me as I had a big bet up for my standards and I was going to get paid. I'm not stealing I'm just grabbing my chips and if they pay me wrong its the house's problem not anyone elses.

Not sure why she din't call security on you for abusing her.. One shall not disrespect anyone else on the table(atleast for their honest comment).
She may also have corrected the dealer in case dealer was taking your money on a winner.

This has probably happened to all of us. Other than just a hard stare, I don't think taking any action is going to accomplish anything. The snitch is going to come across as an honest person, and you are going to look like a crook. Better to just let it go.

Why keep reminding the dealer you are a person of suspect morals?
What exactly do you expect to gain by berating a person for being honest?
It sucks, but if you don't have the discipline to get over a minor mole hill like that, you have no chance of long term success.

This has probably happened to all of us. Other than just a hard stare, I don't think taking any action is going to accomplish anything. The snitch is going to come across as an honest person, and you are going to look like a crook. Better to just let it go.

I will share another story on similar topic. When dealers paid me by mistake, I never corrected him or her. I just took the money. I will say less than 10%, someone snitched on me. The best one is that I just bump up my bet from one unit to eight units, so the pit boss came to my table. I drew to 17. Dealer draw to 18. Everybody in my table either got 20 or 21, so the dealer paid everybody, including me. The pit boss just stood by the dealer. Is it time for me to be honest? Hell, NO! It would be $400 turnaround. I took my chance. The pit boss went back and I got keeping my money. From the experience, I also learned the pit bosses don't waste time to add every hand. So be bold!

Mispay in my favor

If there's a mispay in my favor I always let it sit there until the cards have been scooped up and the evidence is gone, especially in places I frequent enough. If they catch it as they're removing the cards then I can just play dumb, oh yes, looks like you did pay me in error. I don't want to appear to be a dishonest cheat. Once the cards are gone though, the payoff disappears fast.

Had the same thing happen with a surrender call a week or so ago. The dealer pays me 1/2, forgets to take my bet (a tall stack of red that she broke down to figure out what 1/2 was). Being as I was sitting at third base, I waited until she flipped over her hole card and then grabbed all of the chips. Two hands later she did the same thing but this time the PC was in close proximity, I pointed out that error.

Most times the ploppys don't rat me out, glad they didn't that time. If/when they do, they just get a stare, a nasty penetrating stare.

forgetting burn cards

I play a single deck game north of Seattle where one dealer often forgets to burn cards, it is always mildly frustrating when someone reminds them to burn a card.

This was a bad deal. Because it was a woman you try to screw the cards up for her and do things to piss her off, constantly, lots of ways to do this.

If it is a guy than all bets are off and you deal with him in any way you see fit, and I do mean any way.

To what purpose. Your money is gone. You are not going to get it back. All you are doing is diverting your energies and attention to getting even with somebody you are never going to see again, to the detriment of what you are there for in the first place.

Why do you go to casino if you want to abuse others?

I only "abuse" others unless they provoke me. If a dealer takes my money on accident or someone else's I will be the first one to say something. At the end of the day everyone is playing against the house and if the house screws up, its no my fault.

If she asked me stop I will stop with the verbal stuff but I will still eye her down until one of us left.

Yes, it's very annoying when ploppies point out errors in your favour, but what's done is done. There's no point in getting so worked up about it.

A $15 bet is nothing. I remember losing $300 because a ploppy had to speak up about an error.
